    Itinerary

The Budapest Bites and Sights Walking Tour introduces you to the many delicious foods of Budapest. An English speaking guide will accompany you on this walking tour.

The adventure begins when you make your way to the main entrance of the Central Market Hall (1093 Budapest, District IX., Vámház Körút 1-3). On this culinary tour, you’ll learn Hungary’s rich food traditions and discover new trends while you get tips on where to eat and drink while in Budapest.

The food tour starts at the Central Market Hall, a city landmark that’s over 100 years old. There, we’ll taste some slices of salami and sausages, get acquainted with the history of the building and hear a brief introduction on what is eaten and how it’s eaten in Hungary.

From the Central Market Hall, we’ll walk through some of the hidden streets of downtown Budapest and taste fresh-water fish in a small local eatery. We’ll continue on for a sweet treat – choose a delectable chocolate bonbon from an award-winning chocolate factory that’s tucked away in Central Pest and is known for its pure chocolate, London Chocolate Award and fair trade production.

Next, we’ll head to an alternative, retro café for a spritzer and an education in Hungarian drinks. Our Budapest food tour then takes us through the Jewish district, where we can admire the largest and most beautiful synagogue in Europe and enjoy a tasting of local Jewish fare while learning about kosher food and traditions.

Cross the world heritage listed Andrassy Avenue and visit Hungarian food heaven at one of the most popular restaurants. Expect dishes available as per season. Most probably, you are likely to expect delights such as stew or chicken with paprika. Your tour ends here.

Then you will need to make your own arrangements to get back to your accommodation.
